Project Genesis

AirRoom TV was developed as an open-source alternative to proprietary smart-TV casting applications. Many existing commercial solutions are closed-source, display intrusive advertisements, or engage in hidden telemetry.

The objective of AirRoom TV is to provide a clean, lightweight, and fully open-source AirPlay receiver that focuses entirely on high-performance casting and local-network integrity.

Open Source Transparency

System-level utility software must be transparent. The entire codebase of AirRoom TV is publicly hosted on GitHub, allowing the developer community to verify the code, inspect the protocol implementation, and contribute fixes.

Everything operates locally using standard Apple network protocols like Bonjour and mDNS. No external cloud endpoints, registration databases, or telemetry reporting tools are incorporated.
